Trilog Group delivers Social Project Management to IBM Lotus customers

ORLANDO, FL – 31 Jan 2011: Trilog Group, winner of the IBM Lotus Award for Enabling Innovation through Social Collaboration in 2011 and the IBM Lotus Award for Best Total Lotus Software Solution in 2009 and 2010, today announced the general availability of ProjExec 5.0, a Social Project Management solution for the IBM social collaboration platform. This latest release from Trilog Group features major technology advancements to deliver a truly social project experience without sacrificing essential project management practices and rigor.

ProjExec 5.0 leverages a state-of-the-art Web 2.0 user experience in its Project Wall, a Trilog Group innovation that integrates a familiar social networking paradigm similar to Facebook directly with core business processes. ProjExec 5.0 is being highlighted at Lotusphere 2011 at pedestals 609-610 in the Product Showcase exhibition hall.

Trilog Group's Social Project Management solution enables organizations to execute projects better and smarter using time-tested and rigorous project management methodologies fully integrated with a social dimension that fosters innovation, promotes participation, knowledge sharing and smarter collaboration.  ProjExec 5.0 features seamless integration with IBM Lotus social software and the entire IBM Lotus technology platform, including IBM Lotus Quickr 8.5, IBM Lotus Connections 3.0, IBM Lotus Sametime 8.5.1, IBM Lotus Domino 8.5.1, IBM Lotus Notes 8.5.2 and IBM WebSphere Portal 7.

ProjExec 5.0 includes integration with Lotus Connections Profiles, which allows project managers to locate qualified and available resources in Lotus Connections directly from the project planning tool. Integration with Lotus Connections business cards allows users to access Lotus Connections from within their ProjExec environment. Project users can also initiate Activities in Lotus Connections directly from project work items such as tasks or issues to collaborate with others who are not project members. Project Wall offers powerful project micro-blogging and event aggregation capabilities that streamlines communications on multiple projects simultaneously and provides total visibility across project activities and project-related information.

"Social Project Management is not an attempt to change the discipline of project management," said Alex Homsi, President and CEO, Trilog Group. "Rather, we're empowering people by managing the "social side" of projects and making the experience more enjoyable. Project Wall does just that. It gets people engaged and makes their work more observable, resulting in better project outcomes."

Social Project Management Everywhere

ProjExec 5.0 brings the social project experience to where people work today.   ProjExec enables teams to innovate and execute projects better and faster using familiar tools like email and mobile devices.

·         Email integration – sidebars for Lotus Notes, Lotus iNotes and Microsoft Outlook simplify task management and reporting; one click update of task progress keeps project status up to date; drag and drop email and documents directly on tasks from your email client.

·         Mobile devices – keep projects moving with mobile support for Blackberry, iPhone, iPad, Nokia, Android and Windows Phone.

·         Calendar integration - personal work management with project tasks fully integrated with Lotus Notes calendar; cross project team calendars for a consolidated view of all resource commitments.

·         Microsoft Project – Complete bi-directional integration with Microsoft Project desktop, Primavera and most project management tools; ProjExec also includes a powerful built-in visual Gantt editor capability that supports collaborative planning and scheduling.

"Project teams are social entities, embedded in multiple social networks internal and external to the organization," notes Randall Washington, VP Business Development, Trilog Group.  "Each member of the team has unique social connections inside and outside the organization.  ProjExec 5.0 empowers project teams to tap into those social networks to complete project goals and leverage those connections to better communicate with the greater project community."

Social Project Management on the Cloud - ProjExec Live for LotusLive

Building on the success of its ProjExec Online cloud-based offering that was launched in 2007, Trilog Group today announced plans to deliver the first Social Project Management solution for IBM LotusLive. ProjExec Live, scheduled for release this year, will be available for LotusLive Engage and LotusLive Connections customers. ProjExec Live will enable project managers to share a Microsoft Project schedule on LotusLive with external stakeholders and collect status updates from external project members. Project managers can also invite other LotusLive users to join their project and collaborate with them using the Project Wall.

"With ProjExec Live, distributed project teams can effectively collaborate on more complex projects using the Project Wall along with all existing LotusLive services." said Alex Homsi, Trilog Group. "ProjExec Live will also provide a solution for many LotusLive customers who have expressed the need for a more rigorous project management service that integrates with Microsoft Project."
