today announced the general availability of ProjExec 4.2, expanding the
company’s award winning family of collaborative project management solutions for
IBM portal and team collaboration technologies. The latest release of ProjExec 4.2
includes important advanced project management functions with a more extensible
portfolio module and critical path analysis plus added features for the IBM
Lotus Quickr platform. In addition,
ProjExec 4.2 includes support for MPX files formats and can now run on any JSR 168 compliant Portal Server.
Highlighting the list of added features
in ProjExec 4.2 are several enhancements for Quickr users, including a new
document picker feature and new improved templates for ProjExec. The document picker provides the ability
to browse and search Quickr document libraries and conveniently add and link new
documents to project tasks. New templates provide added
project management functions to ProjExec Quickr places such as the ability for a
team to manage multiple projects within the same Quickr place and also add an
administration template enabling convenient centralized management of global
settings and configuration options for ProjExec places in Quickr.

to Gantt – CPM with added ability to highlight all tasks that will become
critical if delayed by a specified duration.

– Improved personal work management tools and Web 2.0 user experience.

Improved Filters
and Navigation – Define as many filter options as needed; view most recently
viewed projects first or search a project by name.

Support for MPX
File Format –
Extends two-way synchronization beyond Microsoft Project to include third-party
programs that support the MPX file
format.
